The project was a design competition to develop a new corporate head quarters campus for Echelon Corporation, the Lon Works Company. The project was developed in three phases, the first two of which are similar buildings of three stories and 75,000 sq. ft. each. The third phase will be a larger structure to accommodate the company’s accelerated growth, and an accompanying parking structure.
Phase I building will contain approximately 80% private offices, with the remaining 20 of work stations consisting of systems furniture located along the perimeter of the facility. Other special use areas include dry labs for software development, an employee cafe, a fitness room and a meeting facility capable of accommodating all 160 employees. The lobby design was inspired by the penetration between the second floor balcony and the “frame” leading to the elevator lobby. This project was executed with Ai Architecture. |
