Along with the efforts on master plan and the interior renovation of the entire existing casino facility, the existing building facades were investigated to identify the new image and branding of Jackson Rancheria Casino with improvement on the existing wayfinding system and traffic circulation. The proposed facade was inspired by the native Indian weaving basket which will create dramatic shadow and shade along the western and northern facades. A new vertical element which acts as a beacon is introduced at the existing accessibility entry while the existing main entry is embellished with new transparent glass box with a rectified drop-off area for tour buses and shuttles. The existing covered walkway is also strengthened with wood trellises supported by piers at normalized rhythm.
