Jury Comments - 'The jury embraced the opportunity to review submissions which held promise to provide suitable and appropriate housing and community infrastructure for migrant farm workers. This entry uses simple and innovative technology to answer some of these needs, creating a structure that could be adapted for many uses and demands. While the jury believed the architecture warrants further investigation, they applauded the overall concept of creating an expandable housing structure appropriate for the climatic demands of the region. The jury supported the overall concept of the cultural community center and believed the submission was on the right path to giving people suitable living environments. In addition, the jury advocated the opportunity to integrate diverse populations within the existing communities.'
