The proposed CADA Housing Project is designed to bring a new quality of urban design to the Capitol Area. This project is situated on 16th Street, a main gateway to downtown. It combines two Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) parcels into one beautifully integrated mixed use retail and housing project. This proposal calls for quality design and quality exterior building materials that will help raise the standard of housing in the Capitol Area along 16th Street. This development will greatly add to and enhance the surrounding neighborhood with its practical uses and excellent architecture. By activating the street level with commercial use, it engages local residents and visitors to the neighborhood. The CADA Housing Project has been incredibly well received with unanimous approvals by the neighborhood and the City of Sacramento authorities. This project was executed with Stantec Consulting Inc.
