The existing one-story dwelling was built in 1906 after earthquake. It's original integrity of the earth shack has compromised due to the numerous renovation by different owners over time. The proposed 3-story dwelling will replace the existing unsound structure with two-car garage. With the San Francisco Green Ordinance requirements, the design of this dwelling will be highly sustainable incorporating technology such as PV and solar panels, radiant heating system, heat pump system, air-to-air hear exchanger, high efficient building envelope with rainscreen system. Construction of this new single-family dwelling is anticipated to commence in spring 2011.
